The Patriots wasted no time making chump meat out of their hated rivals the Jets. The Patriots won 49-19. Sanchez threw an interception to Steven Gregory in the redzone.
The first quarter ended with no score for both teams. After that the Patriots scored 35 points in the 2nd quarter alone. The Patriots drove it up the field and Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass to Wes Welker to get the Patriots on the board 7-0.
Then the turnovers happen. On fourth down the Jets running back fumbled it and the Patriots recovered and on the next play Brady hit Shane Vereen the running back for a 83 yard touchdown.
